Removing the existing ceiling and putting up battens to hang the new ceiling.

Renovations are under way

Our renovations are well under way. Mum & Dad came around this afternoon to help remove the wall dividing the two small rooms, creating one large room that is to become our family room.

We now have one large room that measures 5.6metres by 3.6 metres. Tomorrow the ceiling is being removed. It is unbelievable how the original ceiling is still intact, it is held up only by metal strapping - it was so dodgy. We are replacing it with timber and then installing a new ceiling.
